The Swedish City of Umea sets on ParkPAD

The Swedish City of Umea proudly presents the ParkPAD certificate

Although the City of Umea in Northern Sweden is already very advanced in their parking activities, they are still keen to improve their parking policy.

Within the Park4SUMP project they carried out the parking policy audit PARKPAD as first Swedish City and received the certificate which proofs that they developed a parking quality plan which should contribute towards the council’s target of 65 % of trips carried out by sustainable modes.

Green parking pay-off, differentiated fees, new parking standards for car and bicycle or multiple use of parking spaces are only a few of the identified action fields for improving the parking policy.
