From on-street to off-street parking

Rotterdam's efforts to encourage people to use off-street parking is mainly achieved through pricing policies. Besides a simple shift the city also reduces the number of on-street parking places in order to use public space better for people than only for parked cars. 3000 parking spaces in the inner city should be reduced by 2020 within the Park4SUMP project. Several are replaced by bike lanes, bicycle parking garages or terraces. Watch the video and transfer this approach to your city.
