Brussels off-street parking scheme

An interesting off-street parking scheme was introduced in Brussels to tackle air pollution in city. Office buildings with non-sanctioned parking places were obliged to pay an environmental charge per spot. This tax, feeding into an climate fund, is increased by 10% every year.
